Palm Trees and Green Seas

Tropical Prints are going to be everywhere soon and I've seen a lot of this blue/green colour way. Yes a lot of it looks like marijuana (probably a lot of it is) but it's still a cute spring/summer look, just ignore the dirty stares you may receive off the elderly.

Too Cool To Even Describe

Neon Grunge

I'm absolutely in love with neon at the moment, however I'm a little bit scared I won't be able to pull it off.. maybe I need to get on the fake tan first? Anyways I've seen loads of hot babes wearing neon lately and not in the unsightly 'raver' mesh tutu chav way, in the UBER COOL LOOK AT ME I'M SUCH A MEBABABE way. I'm super jealous.

Oranges and Tangerines

I've been seeing shades of orange EVERYWHERE lately and it's really starting to grow on me. I reaaaaally want a zig zaggy patern orange jumper, kinda like Missoni but without the £1000 price tag please.

Cute Cat Bralette

I simply can't get over this cat print bralette from Topshop. The stripes, the pastel lemon colour, the cats with hats and scarves - its a dream <3

Tie Dye Dreams of The Nineties

I'm not sure what has re-awoken the hippy in me but I cannot get enough of tie dye. Maybe my obsession is even going a little too far as I found myself the other day wanting to wear a matching tie dye shorts and top ensable. Maybe it's for the best my mum convinced me otherwise .. anyways I'm not sure whether it's the explosion of OFWGKTA and their expanse of tie-dye merch that has got me on this hype or my secret longing to have been born that little bit earlier to have experienced the 90's at it's best (although my momma did manage to dress me in some cracking garish outfits) but I think tie dye is going to be my trend of the summer.

Collar me Karl

I have a sneaky sneaky suspicion that collars are gonna be huge soon. They're even getting their own accessories now with metal collar clips being sold to decorate the ends of them! Karl Lagerfeld kicked this trend right off with his detachable collars available on his affordable line 'Karl' and now everyone's on the hype with amazing hand decorated pieces being sold on etsy and ebay.

Do You Prefer "Fashion Victim" or "Ensembly Challenged"?

It has to be one of every girls favourite movie, Clueless is a cult classic that will never get old but right now I want it to be brand new again. Call me crazy but I wanna wear tartan, maybe even matching tartan checks, maybe not so much in bright yellow but still this movie is FULL of trends that need to be reworked instantly! The hair bands, the collars, the matching two piece ensambles - brilliant! Even the diamond pattern (if worked to look less golfer and more Beverly Hills circa 1995). Maybe I'll take a pass on Dion's collection of hats though...

Style Icon: Marianne Faithfull

She's one of music's most legendary female icon's and Marianne faithful didn't do so bad in the style stakes either. And the woman who famously said "My first move was to get a Rolling Stone as a boyfriend. I slept with three and decided the lead singer was the best bet" must have been doing something right. What I really love about Marianne is the fact that she was ahead of her time, she rocked the androgynous look waaay before it became cool with oversized silk shirts and tie combinations that blew the other women of her time out the water. BABE.

No Matter How Long The Winter, Spring is Sure to Follow

So I know I haven't blogged in FOREVER, even though I promised myself I would do it regularly, but no one prepared me for how tough my final semester would be especially when trying to balance it with Motel . However alas, the end is in sight! One more month and I will be free of university education once and for all and can start being a full blown grown up (scary, scary times).
Anyways Spring is finally upon us and I thought I would do a little post about my 2 favourite Spring trends, Aztec and Pastel. These trends can be seen aaaaall over the high street at the moment and give us hope that some sun is (cross my fingers) on the way.

Now being a bit biased (at least I admit it) I think Motel clearly hit these two trends right on the head. There's a great selection of pastel separates which are easy to work into any outfit and give it a quick spring update. Plus the cult aztec print has been reworked into a new pretty pastel palette to create some totally hot for spring pieces. You seriously need to check them out stat!
